"In "Girls in the Garden" the images are just forms that turned into girls by accident--maybe it was natural, or maybe I had some previous impression that brought along the 'story.' In terms of the painting, its composition and color, it wouldn't have mattered at all if I had painted elongated forms. They're no more than a patch in the painting."
